Friday Fix (9/13/2013) - Beauty

By Christy Hess

Sometimes people are beautiful.
Not in looks.
Not in what they say.
Just in what they are.
- Markus Zusak, I am the Messenger

Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart. - Kahlil Gibran

That which is striking and beautiful is not always good, but that which is good is always beautiful. - Ninon de L'Enclos

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart. - Helen Keller

Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical. – Sophia Loren

Stop laughing!!!!!

This little mama has a heart of gold. She was abandoned in a foreclosed home with her puppies for three days without food and water. She and puppies are doing great. Since she has been with us her fur is back to being super healthy and shiny and she is just the sweetest little girl. Her favorite pastime is curling up in your lap and giving you her full attention.

She has taken such great care of her puppies that they are all going to be available for adoption on Saturday (9/14).

Just think if you adopt this mama dog, people would definitely look twice when you walk by, you would have to worry about kids being attracted to your cute little puppy, and you could enter her in "ugly" dog contests.

The last one.....maybe not. I checked out some of the contests on the web - she doesn't stand a chance at winning. Check out some of her competition:

Rascal - Ring of Champions, World's Ugliest Dog ® Contest

Icky - I kid you not - someone named their dog that - poor thing!

Creature
Oh - there are so many more - check it out http://www.sonoma-marinfair.org/ugly-dog-gallery

Seeing the competition, she is just unusual and deep down she truly is beautiful.

Here is a little video that Brook made, if this doesn't make you fall in love with her - I don't know what more I can say.

Hope you have a great Friday and I can't wait to hear from the lucky family that brings this dog into their home.
