Friday Fix (3/22/2013) - Rescue Reunion

If you haven't already gotten an email from us, let me be the first to say:

We are going to have a great time!!!! We are planning some contests and fun events along with a 5K fun walk/run! Pre-Registration should be available soon. Maybe we will get more siblings to attend the event.

Here are some photos from our last event back in 2010. I can't wait!

Be warned - I will have my camera this year and can't wait to get some great photos!

We had an exceptional group of puppies this week. Here are a few of my favorites.

Aren't those expressions priceless! Thank you Regina for the fabulous photos!

Hope to see all of them find happy homes and maybe we will get to see them again all grown up at the Rescue Reunion.

Friday Fix (3/15/2013) - Nice Weather

We didn't get any puppies in this week, so no new puppy pictures this week.

But I couldn't ignore the beautiful weather outside! It is a perfect day to enjoy the dog park. My dogs love to go to the off leash dog park at Cherry Creek. It is a really nice area and there is wide open space where you can throw a ball or Frisbee (Brody's favorite).

Here are my boys playing at the park!

The other thing I found out yesterday is there is something called Urban Herding also known as Treibball. Here is one of many videos from YouTube.

I wish I would have known about this when my border collies were young. What a fabulous sport to get the energy burned off and the mind working hard. Not to brag or anything, but my boys did this naturally, but we always just called it soccer.

Wonder if they invented the sport? Guess I will be looking into buying some Treiballs!

Friday Fix (3/8/2013) - Body Language

By Christy Hess

Puppy pictures are my passion. I love working with all of the photos that we get of our cute little furry friends.

One of the challenges is when I come across a puppy picture that I think is adorable, but may not be seen the same way by others. For example I did a blog on smiles. I love when we capture a dog smiling, but if someone wasn't there and didn't see the dog wag it's tail at the same time as it splits into a big old grin, the photo might be misunderstood.

There are also people who may not be familiar with the puppy bow position. To me it says play with me!!! But someone else might not see it the same way. What do you see?

We also have some photographers that love to take action shots - which are great, but sometimes it catches the wild side and boy is it hard to have one that is in focus.

Finally there are some that I just can't help but post.

Hellllooooo!

Just a quick nap.

Stop taking photos!

Puuuutttttttttt meeeeeee doooowwwwnnnnn!

I hope you enjoy our puppy photos as much as I do. Have a fabulous weekend.

Friday Fix (3/1/2013) - Back from Vacation

By Christy Hess

I want to start by saying a big "Thank you" to Brook for feeding me fabulous ideas for the blog! I couldn't do it without you!

We are back on track! I missed puppies so much. A rescue has the opportunity to see the good and bad in people. This week we had pups that had been put in a sealed box and left our with the trash. I'm not sure if it was a passerby or the garbage man heard them inside but they were saved and found their way to our rescue and will be going to their forever homes on Saturday. I love happy endings.

Here is your dose of puppy pics for this week along with some bloopers:

What do you mean it is empty?!?!?

The only look we could capture was pitiful - but it is award winning!

Aww shucks!

Umm...it's touching me!

Happy almost St. Patrick's Day!

Do you know how hard it is to get an action shot inside????

Award winning shot right here!

 Good to the last drop!

Whoops - eyes closed.

Hold on - I haven't finished this treat!

He is not peeing!!!!!
Hope you enjoy! Have a fabulous weekend. I am off to Gordmans to get my dog treat launcher!
