Saturday Fix (10/20/2012) - Time

This is one of those weeks where I just lost track of time, been sidetracked by all of the beautiful fall colors. We didn't have puppies this week. That ALWAYS messes me up!

We are still waiting for Brook's baby to arrive - it should be any minute now. Can't go anywhere without the phone handy.

On top of that, I am house and puppy sitting for my sister, so my routine is all messed up. It is like a vacation! I had great plans to catch up on all of my stuff, but I have been mesmerized by my nephews two-year old Shih Tzu (Georgia). She is really fun. She makes sure I take plenty of breaks to pet her, going as far as laying on my keyboard if I don't pay attention to her soon enough. Makes for some interesting emails :)

So this week, I vowed to give up coffee. Instead, I have found that there are two drive-up Starbucks within blocks of each other. Sorta the opposite of what I was planning, but hey it is like a vacation!

Friday Fix (8/31/2012) - End of Summer

I can't believe that it is already the last day of August. I don't know where the time goes.

Labor Day weekend symbolically represents the end of summer. Here are some pictures of our puppies with some of their favorite weekend activities.

Watch some football - Go Broncos!

Spend some time with your friend.

Play some soccer.

Take a holiday in Hawaii, or just wear a leis and pretend.

Go swimming before the pools close.

Fetch a good stick.

Frisbee, 'nuf said.

Aloha!

Stop and smell (or sit in) the flowers.

Party animal.

Listen to me! Have a great weekend.

Pack your bag and I am ready to go!

I am ready for a dude ranch!

Feel free to take a nap or two, I just could find any napping puppy pictures. Enjoy an nice, safe, relaxing weekend.

Changing Things Up A Bit

Vacation. For one whole month CPR is on vacation. We don't have any puppies in our system and it's a much needed break for our staff, volunteers, and fosters. Not me. I'm redesigning our website. It's been a while since I've updated our look and information. We need to stay ahead of the game.
 I asked for some suggestions on FB and came away with lots of ideas and contacts for graphic designers. Now to figure our my direction.
*New logo (maybe) I like the logo we have because it has the cutsy, mom and pop look that I think describes our company the best. But, I'd like to look at new colors and something more professional looking. A few of the volunteers made a good point about "brand recognition."
*New website look- I'm looking at new colors and cleaner pages
*Updated information

My deadline is February 22nd. I hope to have everything together by then. But one of the best things about being the boss is the flexible deadlines. ;)
